Strawberry Trifle

This is a delightful recipe that combines the freshness of strawberries with the natural sweetness of Zulka® sugar. Get ready to indulge in a Strawberry Trifle like never before!

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup Zulka® sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 package of ladyfingers or sponge cake
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

  1. Start by washing and hulling the strawberries. Slice them into thin pieces and place them in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle Zulka® sugar over the sliced strawberries and add lemon juice. Gently toss to combine and let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  3. In the meantime, prepare the ladyfingers or sponge cake according to package instructions. Cut them into small pieces that will fit nicely in your trifle dish.
  4. Take your trifle dish and begin layering. Start with a layer of ladyfingers or sponge cake at the bottom, followed by a layer of the macerated strawberries.
  5. Next, spread a generous layer of whipped cream over the strawberries. Repeat these layers until you reach the top of the trifle dish, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
  6. Garnish the top with some fresh mint leaves for an added touch of freshness.
  7. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving. This will allow the flavors to mingle and the dessert to set.
  8. When it's time to serve, grab a spoon and dig into the layers of sweetness, tartness, and creaminess. Each bite will be a burst of flavor that will leave you wanting more.
